Attorney Frank Walker of Frank Walker Law is pleased to announce his sponsorship of the 2017 pre-teen homeschoolers performance of "Into the Woods Jr.", a Stephen Sondheim classic, which will be held at the historic Lamp Theater at 222 Main Street, Irwin, Pennsylvania 15642 on April 28, 2017 (6:00pm) and April 29, 2017 (4:00pm).
The generous gift will assist with the production costs of the performance and ensure that the many students will be able to showcase their talents to the Greensburg Community. "To me, it was an easy decision support such a wonderful organization", says Attorney Walker. "It's been said that, as a society, we offer less than we should to help adolescents negotiate the tumultuous teen years”, declares Walker.
According to Walker, the donation is a way of ‘practicing what he preaches’ in his own household, "I always tell my daughters to support the youth when you see them doing something positive because it is so easy for them to be involved in something negative. Tony, Renata and the many dedicated instructors at Stage Right do a tremendous job of helping bring out the talent of the young men and women and I’m always excited to see the final product on stage!"
The 2017 production of “Into the Woods Jr.” is one of two plays being performed by the area homeschool groups as the teen group will be performing “Hello Dolly”, based on the 1964 musical by Jerry Herman.
