Defendant was alleged to have been involved in a convenience store robbery in the Greene County, Pa area. The allegation was that the Defendant committed the robbery with another individual and fled the scene following the robbery.
The state police were involved and contacted the co-defendant whom allegedly implicated the Defendant at his preliminary hearing. The Defendant was arrested and contacted our law firm after posting bond.
The Defendant was adamant that he was not involved in the incident and that the co-defendant was merely implicated him out of fear. Once involved, Attorney Frank Walker investigated the incident and contacted the arresting officer to learn more about the incident and the alleged identifications.
At the Defendant's preliminary hearing, Attorney Walker was able to negotiate a dismissal of the charges against the Defendant. The Defendant avoided a minimum mandatory sentence of 5-10 years for a robbery with dangerous weapon, felony charges and maximum fines. The Defendant was also able to maintain his employment and was immediately eligible for an expungement.
