Defendant and his newlywed wife were visiting Pittsburgh to celebrate their first wedding anniversary and to cheer their Buffalo Bills in a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Defendant and his wife had a bit too much to drink and were arrested and charged with the Summary offense of Harassment, Summary offense of Public Drunkenness, Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct, and Misdemeanor Defiant Trespass.
The Defendant was taken to the Allegheny county jail and bond was set. The Defendant's wife posted bail for the Defendant and they returned home to Buffalo, New York. Both Husband and wife were employed full time in New York, had no family in Pittsburgh area and had no intentions of returning to Pittsburgh for future events. However, due to the charges, the Defendant and wife were required to return to Pittsburgh possible for the Preliminary Hearing, any postponements, the Formal Arraignment, the Pre-Trial Conference and the Trial.
