Defendant was a juvenile being investigated for felony sexual assault on another juvenile. Defendant has never been arrested before nor had any other encounters with the legal system. The local detectives visited the juvenile's home and spoke with the mother of the child who immediately called a local appellate attorney for advice on how to proceed on the criminal investigation of her son. The appellate attorney immediately contacted Attorney Walker who specialized in Criminal Defense and had a wide reputation as the go to attorney for Sex Offenses in the Pittsburgh Area.
Attorney Walker agreed to speak with the family of the juvenile Defendant and contacted the Detectives. A warrant was issued for the arrest of the Defendant and Attorney Walker turned in the Defendant, argued for hisimmediate release after processing and began the preparation for trial as a juvenile offender.
The Defendant was facing serious felonies, possible placement in a lockdown juvenile facility outside of his parent's home and a 10 year registration as a sex offender on the Megan's Law Website. However, Attorney Walker negotiated a plea agreement where the Commonwealth withdrew all felony offenses, permitted the juvenile to remain at home with his parents and avoided any registration as a sex offender.
